How accurate is this timer?
Both the stopwatch and countdown read from the high-resolution browser clock and refresh every animation frame, so the displayed time stays in sync with real elapsed time. Switching tabs or locking your screen does not stop the timer — when you come back, the display catches up to the actual elapsed time.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work offline?
After the first load, you can run it without an internet connection. Refreshes will need to be online unless you install it as a PWA in your browser.
Will the alarm play if my phone is locked?
Browsers throttle or mute background audio on most mobile devices when the screen is locked. For reliable alarms on a locked phone, use your operating system's native clock app.
Can I record split times?
Yes. While the stopwatch is running, the Lap button records the current time as a split. The list shows every lap with the gap from the previous one.
Can I change the alarm sound?
Yes — pick from five tones (classic beep, soft chime, bell, buzzer, digital) in the countdown tab. The chime is best for quiet rooms; the buzzer is best for the gym.
Does the timer have a fullscreen mode?
Yes. The Fullscreen button on either tab expands the timer to fill the screen, hiding the browser chrome. Useful for projecting or for blocking out distractions.
